Shaq hospital bed tweet: "I'm always watching"
Shaquille O'Neal, the legendary basketball player turned "Inside the NBA" analyst, recently caused a stir among fans when he tweeted a picture of himself in a hospital bed, stating, "I'm always watching." However, his colleague, sportscaster Ernie Johnson, quickly put fans' worries to rest by confirming that Shaq was merely getting a new hip.
The 51-year-old sports icon tagged Johnson and fellow TNT commentator Candace Parker in the tweet, stating, "Miss y'all." Parker responded to the tweet with an affectionate message, saying, "Love ya big Fella." Before posting the hospital photo, Shaq had tweeted directly at Parker, commenting on her newscast with Johnson by exclaiming, "BARBECUE CHICKEN ALERT BARBECUE CHICKEN ALERT." Parker had used this phrase on air, and Shaq couldn't resist making a playful reference to it. Shaq's tweet was mentioned on TNT's March Madness coverage on Sunday, with Johnson playfully remarking, "Shaq's got a little time on his hands!" before sending him best wishes for a speedy recovery.
